What is the EVOLV DNA 200 Watt TC Chip?

The DNA 200 is a chipset manufactured by EVOLV that is made exclusively for temperature control vaping. It is the latest in vaping technology and has been a much anticipated update from EVOLV’s DNA 40 chip. EVOLV is an American manufacturer who specializes in their temperature control / limiting chips that was used in vaping devices.

EVOLV’s newest chipset features their patented Wattage Control, Temperature Protection, OLED Screen, Preheat and waterproof onboard buttons. With the built in USB port integrated with the chipset, any user can utilize EVOLV’s EScribe software in order to fine tune and monitor their vaping experience. Temperature Protection With the DNA 200 Chipset:

The DNA 200 chip is built to measure and limit the temperature of the user’s coil build whenever the device is fired. Based on the settings inputted by the user, the DNA 200 can prevent the coil from getting too hot regardless of wicking, airflow or e-liquid being used essentially protecting the user from the possibility of dry hits, burnt coils and from their vapor becoming too hot.

In order to utilize the temperature control settings of the DNA 200, the coil build must be formed from Ni200 pure Nickel or Titanium coils, as these are the only wire types that have a temperature coefficient of resistance. Nickel chromium or Kanthal coils do not have this quality and cannot be used for temperature control. With a Nickel or Titanium coil build, if the maximum temperature setting is reached, the wattage that the device is pushing through to the coils will be automatically reduced by the DNA 200 chip in order to prevent overheating.

The DNA 200’s temperature setting range is 200°F – 600°F with a standard temperature setting of 450°F.

What is EScribe?

EScribe is the incredible software created by EVOLV to back their DNA 200 chip. It can be used to configure, modify and monitor the DNA 200 when it is connected to a computer via the USB port on the device. EScribe does not need to be programed in order to use a DNA 200 powered device.

EVOLV has pre-set the DNA 200 chip under default settings that will readily accommodate wide range of user preferences. This software is a feature accessory that allows users to change their settings, customize their settings, log their real-time usage date, monitor their use and also update their firmware when the time comes.
