North Shore Beach Clean Up

Teaming up with the Surfrider Foundation last year was a great experience and collecting 11,176 cigarette butts from Kakaako Beach Park located in Honolulu, Hawaii in just 2 hours with over 100 volunteers!

The cigarette butts collected were part of a joint campaign by the Surfrider Foundation Oahu Chapter and VOLCANO Fine Electronic Cigarettes to raise awarness about the discard left behind by cigarette smokers.  This weekend, VOLCANO eCigs is teaming up with Adopt a Beach Save a Life and Surfer the bar for our North Shore Beach Clean Up!

Adopt a Beach Save a Life have been cleaning the beaches of the North Shore of O`ahu for more than 15 years now with a slowly growing volunteer base not only cleaning but also keeping track of the types of trash collected.  They will be helping raise the awareness of the ongoing support needed in keeping Hawai`i's beaches safe and clean for the environment, animals as well as everyone that comes to enjoy them.

Surfer the bar has donated their amazing space to host our Appreciation party open to all the volunteers that helped in cleaning up the beaches that day.

Check-in for the beach clean up will be at 9:00 am at the Turtle Bay Resort where volunteers will then be directed to a specific beach for the clean up.  Volunteers can car pool from Turtle Bay in they desire.  The actual beach clean ups will go on from 10:00 am until about 12:00 pm.

The Appreciation Party will start at 2:00 pm at Surfer the bar in the Turtle Bay Resort where we will have food available on a first come first serve basis, entertainment, goody bags for the volunteers and great giveaways.  The Appreciation Party will end at 5:00 pm.

We are hoping to have the same or an even better turnout as we did for the beach clean up we did last year with the Surfrider Foundation.
