As we travel to one of the 10 Exotic Places to vape, we should know the best way to travel with our eCigs to ensure an enjoyable trip.  With higtened security and a limitation on the types of items you can travel with, the rules can get a little confusing. Here are some guidelines and tips to help you get your vape on with ease whereever you go.

eLiquid Buddy Pass

All eliquid qualifies for the Buddy Pass on that plane but unfortunately their reserved seat will be in your bag. If you plan on carrying on your eliquid it will need to be placed in your liquids bag which is a standard proceedure for all liquids from the TSA. Here are the specifications for the 3-1-1 carry on rule for liquids.

Depending on the eCig set up you will be traveling with, you will most likely need to place your heating element (if it contains eliquid in it) in your carry on liquid bag to avoid any issues. Also be sure to only carry on enough eliquid for your airport and plane travels and stick the rest in your check luggage if you have one.

To Vape or Not to Vape?

Due to eCigs being a fairly new industry, there are some airports that do not allow vaping within certain sections or at all. To ensure you are not breaking any rules, being respectful of the airline or airport, be sure to contact or do your research to find out if vaping is allowed at your particular arrival desitnation. Also depending on the location or your destination, you may also want to do some research on any laws including Electronic Cigarettes and the usage of them as well in your final destination as new state and city laws are being passed almost weekly.However, vaping onboard any commerical airliner is prohinited. 

And my device?

Just like cameras, laptops and other electronic items, eCig devices and batteries are allowed to be carried on. Storing them with your other electronics would be best while going through the security checkpoint while making sure they are in the off position or separated from the battery to avoid any accidental activations during travel.
