Helpful Maintenance Tips from our Customer Service to Keep Your Tanks On Top of Their Vapor Production Game:
Leaky Tank?
- Make sure your coil is seated correctly / tightly into its base (a loose coil head will allow eliquid to leak onto your battery and 510-connection threads)
- Check that the opaque silica gasket / o-ring is in place. In the INFERNO BCT Tank it is located in the base cap for the LAVATUBE BC Tank it is on the bottom of the tank body.
- Do not over tighten the tank to the battery or the coil to the base; never use tools to tighten only your hands. Over tightening can lead to widened threads that no longer hold the coil, which will lead to leaks.

Burnt Taste?
- Make sure you primed your tank correctly with 3-5 dry pulls (pulling air without pressing the activation button)
- Check the holes on the coil for possible blockage. Some heads may come with wick “poking” poking out of a hole (this is okay). If it is slightly blocked by the wick, or rubber looking piece you can take a paperclip and push the item in and clear of the hole.
- Refill your tank before it is completely empty. If you wait until it is completely empty you may run into the issue called “vapor locked” which could affect the eliquid flow, interrupting the usual smooth flow of the eliquid and this can lead to the coil burning.
- When you pull from your device, pull slowly and steadily as this method allows for optimal airflow to be drawn through the heating element to produce the best vaping experience for you. If you pull hard on your device similar to how you did when you used to smoke it will bring too much air across your coils and the coil will burn.
Other Tips:
- If you are getting a gurgling sound when you pull from your device, remove the tank and the pulse the battery to heat off any excessive liquid on your coil.
- Take regular care of your tank by properly washing it, especially if you are the type to vape heavy flavors. Read more here: The eLiquid Flavor Flush: How to Get a Fresh Vape
- Keep in mind that sweeter eliquids have a tendency to caramelize especially if you allow your eliquid levels to get low, basically if you do not top off your eliquids as their levels get lower your liquids may turn a gold to brown color.
- How to get more vapor: leave a little hole between your lips and do not cover the whole drip tip. The small opening you leave between your lips creates more air flow that will allow for more vapor production
